2014 Income Scenarios

The tables below detail income scenarios for each household type.

Household income is comprised of income from work (at the rate of the national minimum wage €8.65 per hour) and/or social welfare entitlements.

For pensioners, income is based on the State Contributory or Non Contributory Pension.

Household Types with Children

  • Two Parents & One Child, Infant
  • Two Parents & Two Children, Pre-School & Primary School age
  • Two Parents & Two Children, Primary School & Second Level age
  • Two Parents & Three Children, Infant, Pre-School & Primary School age
  • One Parent & One Child, Infant
  • One Parent & One Child, Primary School age
  • One Parent & Two Children, Pre-School & Primary School age

Other Working Age Household Types

  • Single Adult, living alone, age 26+
  • Two Adults, no children, age 26 +

Pensioner Household Types

  • Pensioner Couple, Age 66 - 69
  • Pensioner, living alone, age 70+
