Summary
The VPSJ welcomes the opportunity to make this Pre-Budget submission. This submission prepared by the Vincentian Partnership for Social Justice (VPSJ) focuses on income adequacy for a number of household types covered in our research:
- Households with Children
- Pensioner Households
- Adults of Working Age
The expenditure and income of each household type is analyzed in particular situations and recommendations are given based on the findings of the research. The data given in this submission is based on the social welfare and tax system as it stands in 2014 and consumer prices are from March 2014.
